Well I shouldnt say that, PS2 is just like the PS. It degrades over time.
Just like my PSone did many many moons ago before the DC days, my PS2 has begun to give consistant and repetitive DRE's.
With My PS1 it started and the quick fix was to either tip it on its side or upside down.
Such is the case with my PS2.
I bet you all didnt know the PS2 will play when its upside down. You would think with the way the tray is designed that it wouldnt but as far as mine goes its the opposite.
Its the ONLY way my PS2 will play now is if its upside down.
And even then it froze up on me last night right as I was trying to climb the rock Dess and SSIK were on.
So I know all the tricks, the tape, adjusting screws, repair, etc. but so far right now the old upside down trick is kind of working for now. When it stops I'll try the next one.
