I agree for the most part of what Venom wrote in his review. However, the big difference for me is that I play SOCOM quite a bit and haven't been away from it for any great length of time as he has. That being said I'm not really concerned to notice how much better an Xbox game looks as opposed to SOCOM. Kind of like if you see someone quite often you don't notice they have lost 10 lbs. If you are away from them for a year you would notice it.

For me SOCOM is one of the BEST online games I've ever played. This one will be no different. I have all new VERY HUGE maps to learn and now there are 16 players looking to kill me instead of only 8.

Not only will it make the two week time frame until Battlefield 2 comes out go faster...I'll have two games to play instead of burning myself out on just one.

EDIT:

Hey Venom...

To play SOCOM in 1st person mode push UP once on the D-pad. This toggles into 1st person view. Push down on the D-pad to go back into 3rd person view. They hide information such as this inside game instruction manuals. :b

EDIT 2:

"but in all honesty, the PS2 has a LONGGG WAYYY to catch up wtih the BOX!" - Venom

True...very true. However, Xbox has more than it's share of glitchy buggy games. For example, Rainblow Six: Letdown is absolutely HORRIBLE. Last night I gained new faith into Xbox Live after playing Far Cry but for the past few months Xbox Live FPS games have been "ok" but nothing great has come out in quite a long time (besides the BF2 demo). It's pretty bad when an online demo with ONE MAP outlasts any full version of a game. :(
